There is a lot happening this weekend in La Rioja! Here's a little round-up in English of some fun events that you don't want to miss.
Thinkglao
We're going to start Thursday evening off with an event made to make you think and introduce you to new people. Personal coach Begoña González Ruiz de Velasco will give a talk (in Spanish) that will make you think. Topics include emotional intelligence and neuro-linguistic programming. It will be interactive and your ticket includes snacks, pizza and a drink!

Batalla de Covers
There will be a little battle of the bands Thursday night! Three pop and rock bands will perform. Furthermore Sala Fundición is a nice and cozy venue, so you'll be sure to have a good time!

The Great Songs of Dire Straits
If you're looking for a concert, this Dire Straits tribute band concert is one option. You'll be able to take a blast through the past and enjoy many of their classic songs such as "Romeo and Juliet and "Sultans of Swing."

Fiestas de Calahorra
Calahorra's winter festival starts this weekend! There will be a chupinazo on the first day, parades, gigantes and lots of zurracapote (a tradtional alcoholic drink from La Rioja). On Sunday, there will be a running of the bulls so be aware in case you want to avoid it or patake in it! In general, there will be djs, music, performances, and lots of food and drinks.

Female Friend Match
Female Friend Match is one of Culture Connect's most popular events! It's a womens-only event focused on making new friends. You will get matched up with 10 potential friends and talk with each one for 10 minutes. At the end of the event, you'll be free to get the numbers of anyone you'd like to get to know more (as a friend).
Date: Saturday the 28th of March, 19:30-21:30

Swap Logroño
Do you have clothes that you never wear? Do you enjoy finding second-hand pieces? If you answered yes to both of these, then Swap Logroño is where you need to be this Sunday morning!
Swap is an event that happens once every three months where people bring clothing that they don't wear anymore but is still in good condition. Clothing is organized by type: there's a table for t-shirts, another for sweaters, another for skirts, etc. Once everything has been organized, particpants can start looking through what everyone else brought and take whatever they fancy. It's a great way to encourage sustainability!
